Certainly cleaning teak with a high-pressure cleaner is far less time-consuming and energy-consuming than removing dirt with a brush and natural soap. Is it recommended to use a high-pressure cleaner to care for the high-quality natural material?
Absolutely, as long as certain “basic rules” are observed. To avoid the surface of teak furniture becoming rough and unsightly over time, the pressure should never exceed sixty bar. In addition, a minimum distance of around thirty to forty centimeters should be maintained between the wood and the nozzle of the high-pressure cleaner. A smaller distance can damage the surface or contribute to the formation of small hairline cracks.
